Abstract

This paper considers the conditions that guarantee the boundedness for the control system driven by actuators having dead-zone properties. For such a class of control system, analysis and synthesis are not easy since the dead-zone property is described by a nonlinear function. Viewing this, we propose a boundedness analysis method using the piecewise affine system description. It is shown that an invariant set is obtained by solving linear matrix inequalities reduced from piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions. Then we evaluate its performance by numerical studies.
