Abstract

Unilateral delay system is described by tandem connected sub-systems with transmission delays and enables us to deal with typical control problems, which arise in the wind tunnels or in the rolling control systems. In this paper, we consider an H-infinity control problem for the unilateral delay systems and clarify the solution based on matrix Riccati equations or eigenspaces of corresponding Hamiltonian matrices. To approach the posed problem, we derive a state transformation between the unilateral delay system and the multiple output delay system and provide the solution based on the fundamental result on the multiple input/output delay systems.
