Abstract

In this paper, we consider the problem of stabilization of the double integrator by means of a bounded feedback control. It is shown in Teel(1992) that the global asymptotic stabilization of the integrators chain can be achieved by using the feedback control based on the multi level saturation functions. We restrict the class of the controlled system within the second order system and show a method of improving the performance of the feedback control law of Teel(1992). Further, we extend the result to the case where the system has one integrator and one exponentially unstable pole.
