Abstract

Dissipative systems is a widely studied subject and the concept of storage functions are closely associated to dissipative systems. These storage functions for 1-D systems (systems evolving over time) are more or less well understood. Positive storage functions have a special place in the theory of 1-D dissipative systems. Through behavioural theory, there has been an attempt at unifying the theory of n-D systems (for n > 1) with that of 1-D systems. Dissipative n-D systems also have associated concept of storage functions. This is an effort at finding positive storage functions (or components) for n-D systems.
